I have 35 years of experience as a therapist and counsellor working in both health and social care settings.

I undertook my counselling training at the University of Surrey and graduated in 2001. In addition to my private practice in Farnham I worked for 10 years as the counsellor at a large secondary school in Hampshire and spent 7 years providing counselling for a 6th form college in Farnham, Surrey. I was also a long term member of the Surrey Trauma Support Team.

My approach to counselling is Humanistic, primarily Person Centred. I have additional training in other approaches such as Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis, and Existential Therapy.

I work with individuals – adults and young people (11 years plus).

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bacp.co.uk/ethicalframework). I am committed to ongoing training and professional development.

I hold professional liability insurance and have Disclosure and Baring Service (formally CRB) enhanced clearance.
